Friends News and Views - September 2015

Our big annual summer book sale is 'in the books' and what a great day it was!  Mother Nature cooperated with no rain, and we were able to offer over 13,000 quality books to our shoppers!  Sales were brisk, and it was wonderful to see so many people of all ages get excited about books!  Thank you for supporting the library with your purchases, and thanks to our many generous patrons and friends for allowing us to share these great contributions!

Also, thanks to all the energetic special volunteers who came ready to work and lend a hand.  Shout-outs to Delavan City Parks and Rec for providing an abundance of picnic tables, pop-up tents, and stages; to Charles, Patricia, Adam, and Gordon for doing such a great job getting us set up and ready to go; to Nick and Boy Scout Troop #328 and families; to Library Director Anita and members of the Library Board of Trustees, as well as Friends members, and a terrific group of students and supporters for carrying our 350 boxes; to Aram's Harem and friends for covering the busy cashier stations.  Special thanks to the Aram staff ... you are all awesome!  The day was a huge success because of you, our Superheroes!

If we can answer any questions or provide moreinformation, please contact us through the library or email us at friends@aramlibrary.org

Happy Labor Day and best wishes to all as school gets underway again!  See you at the Fair and at the Library!

Each morning sees some task begun,
Each evening sees it close;
Something attempted, something done,
Has earned a night's repose
