March 2015 Library Events
1000 Books before Kindergarten
This FREE program helps your newborn, infant, and/or toddler acquire learning and literacy skills through exposure to books and a language-rich early childhood experience. The goal is to have read 1000 books before your child starts kindergarten. That sounds like a lot, but if you read just 3 stories a day, you will have read more than 1000 books in just one year! Participation is easy, and the program is open-ended so you can read at your own pace, year-round.
