Storytime with Ms. Denise
- Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Spring
fever is contagious at this time of year.
Share your excitement with Ms. Denise at library story time! Mornings are for babies and toddlers,
afternoons are for preschoolers, and both programs follow these fun themes:

Learn to Knit or Crochet
- Tuesday, March 4, 11, and 25 at 6 p.m.
Have you always wanted to learn to knit or crochet? Here’s your chance to learn one or both! Our Knit/Crochet Club is offering a 3-session
beginner’s class starting on Tuesday, March 4. Sign up now and we’ll contact
you with a list of supplies. Registration Required. For those not interested in the class, the Knit and
Crochet Club will continue to meet every Tuesday. Bring your own project to
work on, share your expertise, and learn from others.
Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

LEGO Club - Monday, March 3 at 4:30
p.m.
Give our LEGO blocks a workout building anything from a dinosaur to a
spaceship. Work in teams or individually,
give your creation a name, then see it displayed in the Children’s Library.
Young Artists Reception – Monday, March

Aram Public Library kicks off Youth Art Month with a celebration of
the talented young artists whose work will be displayed at the library this
month.
Papercraft: Crafting a Nest – Thursday, March 6 at 6 p.m. Registration

Train Show – Saturday, March 8 from 9

Delavan’s annual train show is branching out from the American Legion
Hall to a number of downtown businesses this year. At
Aram Public Library, you will find Delavan’s circus history presented in a
large circus train display.
Garden Planning/Seed Starting –
Tuesday, March 11 at 1:30 p.m.
Spring is in the air and seed
catalogs are in the mail. It’s time to
start planning your garden and the UW-Extension’s horticulture educator,
Chrissy Wen, is full of wonderful ideas for you. Sponsored by the Friends of
APL, this spring gardening program explores starting plants from seed and
offers advice and tips to get your garden growing better than ever.
Garden
Crafts for All Ages – Sunday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m.
Whether you’re a gardener, a
crafter, or just like to putter in the dirt, these crafts are fun and easy for
people of all ages. Recycle your old
newspapers by folding them into seed-starting pots. Create colorful garden markers to keep track
of what you’ve planted. Interested in more outdoorsy decorations? Check out our Crafty Lil’ Buggies program for
kids and our Wire and Bead Bugs program in April.

Facebook. It seems as though everyone’s using it, but
it can be overwhelming (to say the least.)
If you’re looking to get started—or simply hone your skills—join us for
this beginner’s class on the ever-changing world of Facebook. Class size is limited.

Jewelry Class: Wire Crochet – Saturday, March 22 at 1

with wire and beads can create some spectacular looking pieces. No previous crochet skills are required and
all materials will be provided.

toddlers (and their grown-ups, of course).

Pizza and a Movie: Planes
(G) – Monday, March 31 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Dusty is a crop dusting plane with dreams of competing as a
high-flying air racer. But Dusty's not exactly built for racing, and he happens
to be afraid of heights. So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator, who helps
Dusty qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty's
courage is put to the ultimate test. Sign up in person or call the library to reserve your spot beginning

Join us for our Spring Gardening Program on
Tuesday, March 11th from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Christine (Regester) Wen, Horticulture
Educator for the UW- Extension, will discuss seed starting, getting your soil
and tools ready for planting, and what’s new for the coming summer, as well as
answer all your questions and offer general landscaping and gardening tips to
help you get your yard and garden looking and growing better than ever this
year!
