September Events

Storytime with Miss Kris – Tiny Tots for children from birth to age 3 meets Wednesdays at 10 a.m.   Preschool Story Time for age 3 to kindergarten meets Fridays at 10 a.m. Themes for September are school days, flying insects, let’s be healthy, and the fall season.

Craft-er-noon – Saturday, September 8 at 1 p.m.   

Help us clean out our craft closet!  Craft-er-noon is a free afternoon of crafting using the library’s art and craft supply leftovers.  Open to children of all ages.

Art Exploration Studio – Tuesday, September 11 at 4 p.m. What can you do with paint on paper?  Swirl it, smudge it, and drip it.  Mix up some new colors and create a string painting or an ink blot painting.  Open to children of all ages.  Dress to get messy.

Midday Movie for Adults:  Hunger Games (PG-13) – Saturday, September 15 at 12:30 p.m. Bring your lunch.  Dessert and a beverage will be provided.

LEGO Club – Monday, September 17 at 4 p.m. Give the library’s LEGO blocks a workout. Work in teams or individually, then see your creation displayed in the children’s library. For age 6 and older.

Piano Hinge Book Workshop – Monday, September 17 at 6 p.m.  Are you looking for a different and unusual way to collect and display your photos?  A piano hinge book, with its unique look, is ideal for this purpose.  All materials will be supplied.  This adult class is limited to 10 people; registration is required.

Teen Book Club: Going Bovine – Thursday, September 20 at 4 p.m. 

Adult Book Club:  Lemon Tree by Sandy Tolan – September 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Altered Composition Notebooks – Saturday, September 22 at 1 p.m.  Go to class in style with a stylish notebook decorated by YOU!  All materials will be provided. For age 9 and older.

Stuffed Animal Story Time – Tuesday, September 25 at 6 p.m. Come dressed in your pajamas bring your favorite stuffed animal friends, and join us for a very special evening story time.

Pizza and a Movie: The Princess Bride (PG) – Wednesday, September 26 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.  No school today!  Why not spend part of your day off at the library enjoying free pizza and a fantastic movie? Register at the children’s desk starting Monday, September 24.
