DELAVAN DAZE BOOK SALE – August 10 and 11
The Friends of Aram Public Library are getting ready for their annual summer book sale scheduled for Friday, August 10, and Saturday, August 11, during Delavan Daze.   The special preview sale for Friends' members only will be held in the library's lower level meeting room on Friday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Memberships will be available for $5 at the door.  Saturday's sale opens to the public under the tent on the front lawn at 8 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m.

Adult fiction and non-fiction in all genres, both hard and soft covered books, will be available.  The sale includes mysteries, romances, biographies, travel, history, health, self-improvement, hobbies, cookbooks, sports, and more.  Movies, audiobooks, and books for children and teens, both entertaining and educational, will also be for sale.

This sale has gained a reputation over its many years for the quality and quantity of offerings because of the generosity of its donors.  It allows the Friends to provide extra materials, equipment, and furnishings for the library, sponsor free programs for the public, and support our popular summer reading programs.

Donations are currently being accepted and may be brought to the library during regular hours.

Before her marriage to a banker, before her career as a film editor in Los Angeles, Judith was 17 and living in Nebraska, where she met Willy Blunt, a carpenter whose pale blue eyes and easy smile awakened in Judith the reckless girl he alone imagined her to be. Marrying Willy seemed a natural thing to promise, but a violent episode followed by acceptance to a prestigious university carried Judith away. Twenty years later, Judith's sturdy-seeming marriage is suddenly hazy with secrets, and her thoughts drift back to the time when she and Willy had escaped to a small world where sunlight seemed always to fall from a softer angle. What happens now when she holds in her hand the number for the man who believed it, long ago, when she declared her love?
