Adult Book Discussion – Thursday, May 17 from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand
Summary:  On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared--Lt. Louis Zamperini. Captured by the Japanese and driven to the limits of endurance, Zamperini would answer desperation with ingenuity; suffering with hope, resolve, and humor.

Choose an eReader – Tuesday, May 22 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Imagine being able to carry your bookshelf with you in your purse or coat pocket.  An eReader can give you this capability.  With a eReader, you have instant access to books and magazines that you buy. You can check out free ebooks from the library, and you are able to change the text size and page orientation to adjust the page to your visual needs.  Learn about and try out the most popular eReaders at this hands-on workshop.  Registration is required.

Book vs. Movie – Saturday, May 26 from 12 to 2:15 p.m.
Moneyball (Rated PG-13), based on the book Moneyball: the Art of Winning an Unfair Game by Michael Lewis.  Summary:  Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) challenges the system and defies conventional wisdom when he is forced to rebuild his small-market team on a limited budget. Despite opposition, Beane develops a roster of misfits…and along the way, forever changes the way the game is played.  Bring your lunch; dessert and beverage will be provided.
