Where families come together
Spending quality time together as a family can sometimes be hard to do. Everyone is so busy with their own activities -- school, work, sports clubs -- that we forget about the people closest and most important to us -- our families.
Make the Aram Public Library a place where your family comes together. Our special family events offer a welcome break from your busy lifestyle. Spend a relaxing Saturday afternoon reacquainting yourself with the special people in your life while enjoying an activity appropriate for all ages.
Mark your calendar for the 3rd Saturday of each month, and make the Aram Public Library the place where YOUR family comes together!

I really like the increased outreach that Aram seems to be doing and am guessing that has to be something generated by the new Director.
I've always wondered though why libraries only do story times on weekday mornings? It's not the stay at home moms who struggle to find some peaceful time for stories, it's the working moms and dads. Consider providing an evening story time where kids can come in their pj's with their favorite blanket or bear to share a story.
Last fall we offered a storytime on Tuesday evenings but nobody came so we discontinued that storytime. I agree that working moms and dads should be able to enjoy storytimes with their children and so was surprised at the lack of attendance at an evening program. Currently we have a Saturday morning storytime that is better attended than the Tuesday night program but still not as well attended as the weekday morning programs. Please let us know if you have any more program ideas!
